The other day I went to go see Mack @thesprayfoamguy to give him a hand with some basement blanket insulation. – As much as we dislike the stuff, its a requirement to pass as a minimum insulation in an unfinished basement. – For this job we put the @dewalt_ca DCN890 through its paces. Needless to say, its almost as if this gun was designed for this task alone. It worked perfectly in both the poured sections, and a section of existing block wall. – There are a few types of pins available, but the basic choices are, a short reduced diameter shank pin for hard concrete and steel, and a standard diameter pin for soft concrete, which you can get in lengths up to 2.25” long. – Dewalts concrete pinner works off a flywheel design, so there are no fumes from fuel, or powder shots to purchase. You can get up to 600 shots off a 5.0 pack. – The tool comes in two versions, one with a reduced height magazine for drywallers/steel stud use, but its essentially the same gun, and you can swap the magazine on type 2 guns if you choose. – @atlasmachinery – #sitecrash #basementblanket #concretepinner #insulation #newhome #newbuild #dewalt
