Top 5 DIY – Kids Entertainment Projects

Hey guys, I am Sarah. Every week I comb through hundreds of DIY videos preparing projects for our weekly Maker show, Maker Break. Along the way, I find some good projects… and some GREAT ones, And right now, I’m going to share them with you! This is Sarah’s Top 5 DIY Kids Entertainment Projects!

Alright, today we’re going to look at a few of my favorite videos for kid’s entertainment projects! let’s go!

#5 is Made by Mitch

Mitch built a wooden baby rattle that looks like a little hippo! This is a fun project that shouldn’t take you too long and it would be a really cool gift to give your child or someone in your life who is about to have a little one of their own. Mitch comments that he loves taking raw wood and turning it into something beautiful or useful, and honestly I couldn’t agree more. It is so rewarding.

#4 is Design Craft Workshop

Bao made the cutest Pickler Climbing Triangle with multi colored rungs. This is such a good activity to have for your little ones to help them learn large motor skills. Plus this can easily be folded down and tucked out of the way when you aren’t using it. Huge bonus!

#3 is Projects with Jaimes

Jaimes went after a larger outdoor entertainment idea for his kids and built them a seesaw. I was surprised how easy this build was, and it didn’t take him but a couple hours to put it all together. What a cool project.

#2 is the Grant Alexander

Grant built his son a little play kitchen out of scrap wood. This is way cooler than what you can find in a store, and I am willing to bet this one will last way longer too. His attention to detail and creativity for this project was so much fun to watch unfold in the video. Awesome job!

#1 is I Like to Make Stuff

While Bob was updating a room in his house for his boys, he decided there was no better way to make use of this corner, than by turning it into a climbing wall nook. Making sure it was well fastened to every possible stud he could, I am pretty sure he won dad of the year with this build that will hopefully stand the test of time, and boys.

Have you seen a woodworking project that should have been on my list? Leave a link in the comments below and I’ll be sure to check it out. And if you liked this video the rest of my Top 5’s are in this playlist right here! And don’t forget to join Rob and Me every Friday for Maker Break! I’ll see ya then!
