SORRY! The MILWAUKEE Roofing Nailers are HERE! But you can’t have one. Plus power tool news! s3e24

Coming up next, Milwaukee didn’t hold their New Product Symposium this week, but you wouldn’t know it from the noise they made just delivering on a year-old promise. It’s June 12th, 2020, and today we’re going to do the power tool news, and share some tool videos you won’t want to miss. Let’s get to it…

That’s right. A YEAR ago at Milwaukee’s NPS 2019, they finally revealed the 21 and 30-degree framing nailers, and people were Pumped to say the least. But until now, we couldn’t buy one. 12 months later, and the nailers are HERE. Well, sort of. According to our sponsor and retailer, Ohio Power Tool, their first shipment immediately went out to pre-orders, and the second shipment arriving this Monday, still won’t be enough.

Fortunately for us, a few of our friends got their hands on them early, and they have a lot of good things to say.

Rob Robillard posted a thorough 10-minute review.

A creator new to us named Gingrich Construction replaced the Paslode nailers for their entire crew, and gave it a quick test.

Kyle from RR Buildings posted a full review on his channel! The nailers perform perfectly out of the box, but only after it’s been on the jobsite, will we know for sure, if Milwaukee Nailed this one.

The new nailers are here, and all of these videos are well worth the watch while you wait for yours to arrive.

Speaking of tools that won’t go away. Clint joined the chorus of compliments by reviewing the EGO 3rd Gen self propelled mower. He liked it, A LOT. Just like everyone else who reviewed it. But his enthusiasm took a turn for the “good lord” right after he realized it included a fast charger. Ok buddy. We get it. If you’re one of the 3 people left who haven’t already bought this mower, head over to the tool review zone for the motivation ya need.

Mr Mark Thomas got himself a DeWALT Sander in a funny shape. Ok we’ve all used square sanders before, but he makes a good point here. When people buy their first sander, it’s almost always a random orbital one. But as Mark points out, there are more than a few times when a ¼ sheet sander is the right tool for the job. To see what you may be missing out on, head over to Mark Thomas Builder on YouTube.

Apparently Mark wasn’t the only one who didn’t get the memo on the all Milwaukee nailer all the time thing, as Kenny from PTR showed off a new kit from Kobalt. Specifically, Kenny unboxed the Kobalt XTR 5-Tool 24V Max Brushless Power Tool Combo Kit with the Hammer Drill, Impact Driver, Circular Saw, Recip Saw, a 700 Lumen LED work Light, a charger and two batteries. Now It’s ok if you’re not really ready for this crazy review. Turns out I wasn’t either. Let’s quickly move on to Industry News from the Construction Junkie. Have you ever wished you had a 3rd arm to help you get your job done? This is the Supernumerary 3DOF Robotic Arm. It’ll hand you a drill. Kinda. Help you paint… ish. And apparently, if you drop a screw, you can have it beat the crap out of your work in revenge. All the while, nearly punching yourself in the face with every move. This is currently just a prototype controlled by another person and tethered to about 600lbs of computer. But hey… I’ve got nothing. This is dumb. For more dumb stuff and all your industry news, head over to the Construction Junkie.com. I’m just kidding. Shane’s article about this thing is hilarious, so go read it.

First thing over at Instagram, Couple-a-tools shared this artsy shot of his DeWalt tools, staring into the dark abyss, no doubt wondering what life would be like if they were born Bosch.

Montrealsparky Just proved to us once again that Bender is great.

I don’t need a lift like this, but I feel like if someone bought me one, I’d suddenly find a thousand things I needed to lift into the attic.

Last of all, Paul the Tool Pig showed off his brand new Tarantula 12” 80 tooth blade from Spyder.

Ohio Power Tool is selling the awesome steel blue boots and offering you a chance to win a YETI cooler. Good luck. (Enter To Win Here!)
