When we first got a chance to use the Milwaukee M12 cordless jig saw we definitely impressed for a couple of reasons. The handle design with the full rubber top is really the first of its kind to allow for a more traditional top grip or barrel grip hand position. Second it has impressive power for a 12V unit although we probably shouldn’t be that surprised anymore because the M12 Hackzall has already proven 12V tools can deliver on cutting power and runtime. Third the variable speed trigger was very accurate and precise which made using the light weight saw very smooth. Finally the price on the 2445-21 ($149, Ohio Power Tool) is pretty good considering it includes some of the mid to higher end jig saw finishes and less than any other cordless jig saw kit we’ve seen.
