Makita is DETERMINED to take over the garage. Is your shop ready?

Makita, just launched a new website today, specifically to show off their aggressive expansion into the automotive industry, and it’s made it more obvious than ever, that if you have a job to do in the garage, you can probably get it done with a Makita.

The new website was specifically designed to make it easier to find the solution to every possible challenge in a garage. They now break up their products into 5 distinct categories.

First up, is Drills and Fastening Tools. Here you’ll find the full run of 18V LXT tools including Impact Wrenches, Impact Drivers, and Drills. In their 12V MAX CXT series they feature the same, with the addition of their powered ratchets.

The second category is Cutting, Grinding and Adhesive. Here you’ll find 18V LXT recipes, grinders, die grinders and caulking guns for adhesives. You’ll find recip and caulking guns in the 12V MAX CXT series as well. Makita still features more than a few popular corded tools as well, including grinders, die grinders and cutting shears.

The third category is Detailing. Here Makita features their polishers, vacuums, portable lighting and even their blowers, which are great for drying off your car without the streaks or scratches sometimes caused by towels.

In the Lifestyle & Shop category, they have inflators, fans, work lights and even heated gear, because you’ve still got to work when the shops cold. Again, they have options in both their 18V LXT and 12V MAX CXT platforms.

Finally, they round off their expanding automotive selection with an accessories category where they offer Impact Socket sets, Fastening Bits, grinding and cutting discs, polishing pads and anything else you need to put their automotive tools to work.

Makita has recently added a line of compact brushless impact wrenches and their first cordless ratchet with interchangeable anvils. With the launch of this new website, they’re taking the opportunity to declare to the world that Makita is not only in the garage, but has concrete plans to completely take over. They’ve announced upcoming specialty vacuums, grease guns and precision impact wrenches, all for the automotive industry.
