That’s right for $99 you can be one of the first to own the Makita 18V Heated Blankie DCB200A or is it really a Heated Cape for fighting crime (literally includes a snap to wear as a cape)?? Is this a joke you might ask, we’d like to ask the inventor of the SNUGGIE how his joke went over, unfortunately he gets terrible cell reception in his house he build of solid gold…
Is this product practical, nope. Does it make sense on jobsite, definitely never. Do we still want one, we sort of do. Does it go perfectly with the Makita 18V Coffee Maker DCM501Z ($99) on a brisk autumn morn, Absolutely!!
It’s a Polyester outer shell so wind and rain resistant, has a zipper pocket for battery storage but can also fit a phone or even tablet which can charge off the Makita 18V power supply. It’s got 3 heat settings which they give a run time of 29 hours on low (we haven’t got a runtime on high which is how everyone would use this, sorry).
The downside is it’s only 55-1/2” x 27-1/2” which makes us question it as an actual blanket. Why not do 55” square and just add heat to the top half, seems like the thighs will be toasty but you forget about the calves.
Will either Dewalt or Milwaukee have heated blankets, Nope!! At least not for this season but we’d bet if Makita finds any success by 2020 they’ll both be launching a whole series in Camo, Olive Green, Black, Yellow, Red, etc. Hopefully they’ll be in full square you can use as, you know, an actual blanket…
