Inside Look | Dewalt Flexvolt 60V Max 7-1/4″ Circular Saw DCS575

The Dewalt DCS-575 Flexvolt 60V Max 7-1/4” Circular Saw has now been available for over 2 years- and in that time, Dewalt has seen more than its fair share of competition from NEW cordless circular saws entering the market- even their own rear-handled DCS577 from 2017. YET in spite of the numerous updated models available, many Dewalt fans have stayed loyal to their original DCS575 with its brushless motor, electric brake, and of course its RIGHT-SIDED blade

Now more than 2 years after the initial release date of the DCS-575, we wanted to take an Inside Look to see how its features, performance and design stacked up against newer cordless circular saws on the market.

We gave it to AJ Delancey at AD Enterprises to get his feedback on the jobsite, then took it to Kris at Ohio Power Tool to look at the interior design and features – giving YOU an Inside look at this now classic Dewalt circular saw.

AJ gave it a week on the jobsite. He’s familiar with Dewalt corded tools, but this was his first introduction to the Flexvolt battery platform. He loves this saw and the 60V Flexvolt battery. However, he wishes that it had a rafter hook like many new competitive models. ** UPDATE ** Good News for rafter hook fans, as of Spring/Summer 2018 The DCS575 will include the rafter hook, both are still on store shelves so if this is important feature for you make sure to request the updated model!

Kris was impressed with many of the features on the Dewalt, including the overall interior layout, width of the drive gear, and blade guard bearings – but not so much with the black foot plate and the interior use of zip ties for cable control. Overall – even for a 2 year old tool, it’s still a great saw.

Thanks again AJ and Kris with this INSIDE LOOK at the Dewalt DCS-575 Flexvolt 60V Max 7-¼” Circular Saw.
