The Tool Brand Acquisition train continues full steam ahead, just announced Imperial Blades, makers of high quality Made in USA oscillating tool accessories has been purchased by Milwaukee Tool, a Division of TTi. This is a slam dunk for team red as the Imperial factory is only about an hour away in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin and it gets them into the oscillating accessory category in a much larger way with a premium lineup.
Founded in 2008, Imperial Blades has grown at an impressive rate launching a fair amount of product innovation, such as Storm Titanium coating or Carbide Extreme Blade. Their accessories fit all major brands of tools and recently added StarLock blades to fit the Fein & Bosch tools. Our hope is this will really inspire Milwaukee to get aggressive with more powerful M12 FUEL and M18 FUEL oscillating tools, there is still time to see some magic by NPS19!!!
We have not heard the financial details of the transaction for how much the purchase was but sure Milwaukee will make it a good investment. They will be keeping all 69 employees and increasing their USA manufacturing is something Milwaukee has told us is a high priority for them. As we get more information we will certainly share.
