The DeWALT DCN45RN is the newest edition of the expansive 20V MAX System, which already features over 200 products.
The Roofing Nailer, powered solely by a 20v 2.0Ah battery, can drive up to 500 nails per charge. That’s 100 square feet of asphalt roofing shingles. And it’s not slow, firing up to 3 nails per second.
The depth adjustment is tool-free, as is the stall release that returns the driver blade when jammed. It comes with other expected features including bump actuation mode, and a standard 120 nail capacity canister that’s compatible with most coil ¼” to 1 ¾” roofing nails.
The efficient brushless motor and ergonomic design set this nailer up to be a hit even before it hits the shelves. DeWALT says that roofing professionals can save up to 20 minutes a day in setup and cleanup time alone.
The new DeWALT DCN45RN will go on sale in early Summer, 2020, and be available packed with a 2Ah battery and charger for $399, or as a bare tool for $329.
