Milwaukee just dropped a final Christmas gift for us, in the form of a tool that until now, was only available to Europe! Let’s go!
Milwaukee’s line of grinders just got bigger, and far more interesting, with the launch of 2 new M18 FUEL 4 ½” to 5” Variable Speed grinders, and 2 new M18 FUEL 5” Flatheads.
First, the new M18 FUEL 4 ½ to 5” variable speed grinders generate power comparable to an 11 amp corded model, and feature 5 speed settings between 3,500 and 8,500 RPM, making it easier to control.
But the far more unique of the two is the new M18 5” Flathead Breaking Grinder, which also matches the power of an 11amp corded model, hitting 8,500 RPM. But it’s the low profile flathead design that provides greater accessibility to tight spaces for completing a cut or grinding an edge where a traditional grinder couldn’t reach.
Both styles feature Milwaukee’s RAPIDSTOP Brake, which stops most wheels in less than 2 seconds. Both are available in either a paddle switch, designed for comfort and ease of use, or a slide switch specifically designed to reduce user fatigue.
Both have tool free guard adjustments, and of course all of the benefits that some with the FUEL label. Powerstate brushless motor, Redlithium battery packs, and redlink plus intelligence that lets them all work together.
All 4 grinders will be here in January 2022, With the M18 FUEL 5” Flathead coming in at $279 bare for either the paddle or slide switch versions, and the standard M18 FUEL 4 ½ to 5” Variable speed ringing up at $219 bare, with either switch as well.
