Milwaukee just announced a new ONE-KEY bluetooth tracking tag, that looks a lot like the old Milwaukee TICK, but on the inside, it’s a HUGE technological leap. One that the Milwaukee Community should have had from the beginning. Lets go.
This is the all new ONE-KEY Bluetooth Tracking Tag. You can Screw, Glue, Rivet or zip tie this thing onto any of your tools, boxes, or even vehicles. Like the old TICKs, you can use these to identify your inventory, and track your tools location using the nationwide network of one-key users.
But this new one has a few features that seem like common sense, but until now, we’ve gone without. First, it has an accelerometer, so now you’ll have a history of the tool actually being used, or your box being moved. That means you’ll know if a tool hasn’t even moved for the last 6 months. Second, is the speaker. Now you can use one of 4 custom rings to find your tool in that pile in your shop. I can’t tell you how happy I’d be if I could just pick a tool in my ONE-KEY app, find it’s general location, and then make it call out to me when I need it.
Plus, the internal battery now lasts 3 years, which is 2 more than the tick. A lot of the crib managers buying these things will buy in bulk. There’s a 10 pack available directly from Milwaukee. You don’t want to be replacing several hundred batteries every single year.
Last of all, they’ve simplified the setup of each one, by adding one of their ONE-KEY qr codes on top of it. We’ve been using their Qr code stickers on every tool that comes into Belts and Boxes and they’re amazing. But of course a sticker can’t call out to you from the mess.
And of course, these new Tags are nothing but heavy duty. They’re small, durable, weatherproof and built to survive drops, shock, and extreme temperatures.
The new Milwaukee ONE-KEY Bluetooth Trackers seem to be the answer to many complaints found on the TICK listing at Milwaukee. And while you won’t have to wait long to get them, you will have to pony up some cash. They’ll be in stores next month in December of 2021, with an msrp of $29.99 for a single pack, $49.99 for a 2 pack, or $179.99 for a 10 pack, making them only $18 each. Not a bad price to know exactly where your tools are, at all times.
